AHHHHHHHHHH!! FINALLLLLY ITS SWEEEEET FRIDAY! been working for a entire week, and phew. finally it's off tmr. struggled alot during my 1st and 2nd day of work. that workplace is full of SMOKERS. omg. and my working place was exactly where all the smokers hang around at. 1st and 2nd day was TERRIBLE. kept looking at my watch but time seems to past so slowly. was totally different when i was playing football or eating, LOL. working at mount faber, and there's this super big BUNCH of M_ _ _ _ _, in case someone complaints me abt smthg. there's like 15-20 AHEM there and i've no one to communicate with. and like any other newbies gaining their working experience, i've been constantly fooled by them. now i know how cruel this world and working society is. but who cares, i'm only focusing on my $$ earned. i'm being appointed as a runner. ok. not those ppl who run. and i'm so fat, who'll believe i can do this job, haha. my job is smthg like taking the food from the kitchen and passing to the waiters. and i almost died on the 1st day of work, coz the plates and bowls are seriously no joke. damn heavy. i had cramps on my arms when i woke up on my 2nd day. and there's 3 restaurant under this mount faber company: Sapphire(my working place), moonstone and black opal. and i HATE it when i gotta bring the food all the way from sapphire to moonstone coz it's freaking far + plates are damn heavy+ i gotta avoid the tourists/customers+i gotta look after my food(in case it drops)+when it rains, it makes it worst, coz i cant stand a umbrella while delivering+i'm so tired at the end. haha. seems like there's hell lots of complaints yea. but things get slightly better on the 3rd day. starting to get comfortable with this job and there's more runner on my 3rd day. so my job burden decreased + can slack awhile. and! most importantly, there was a 3 pages complaint from a customer abt bad service, and the F&B manager blew up. he screwed the moonstone staffs and demanded better quality service. haha. this is a bad thing isnt it? heh, but NO! everyday we have trainings, sometimes it even stretches till 2 hrs! lol. i was just sitting down there, listening to the manager's golden advice, watching his demo and in another sense, learning something new la. but since i'm a runner, i dont have to, hehe. and there's this guy, my runner station I/C. and he's somewhat good la. much better than the others. he taught me lots of new stuffs and joked around too. and! i went shopping while i was having break. cool right?! i tabao my food in the afternoon and ate my dinner in the cable car and upon reaching habourfront, i went there for a shop! haha. but seriously, shopping alone is kinda boring. but in another perspective, i'm earning money while shopping! woohoo! (omg, if any m.f. workers see this, i'm gonna get fired.) day ended and i'm finally earned $144! day 4: finally i had someone to talk to! sherman reported for work and i saw chewlin and jialin. finally some recognised faces. phew. day went super fast, guess there's a companion? was quite busy in the night as there's quite a no. of reserved tables. earned $192! day 5( sweet friday!=) wahhhhhahahha. today was the shiokest + the slackest. lol! was rlly hungry and went to harbourfront mac for dinner. ordered double chess and mcchicken, as usual, 2 burgers to contain my enormous appetite.(daphne, stop it.haha) went back and i was somewhat demoted to cleaning cutleries and clearing plates coz there was too many runners tdy. haha. and my mood was extremely high~ $240 in pocket! yeaaahwoohooooo! and there's this funny part here. the runners, are all rather disgusting. coz they prey on all the leftover foods by the customers. not gonna go in detail. and the head chef there labelled them as hyenas(those animal),on my 1st day of work. haha. and there was 2 large grp of reserve tables tdy, and there was lots of food. and like any other days. they eat like nobody's business. and the chef labelled them as " worst than hyenas" lol. laughed on the spot. everyone looked at me omg.so ps. hahaa. monday's pay goonnnna be real lot coz it's hari raya. the manager said it could be as much as $10/hr. ahhhhhhh! must work till my max on monday! haha. ok tmr gonna go for some soccer sessions, since i rllly nvr played for almost 2 weeks! omgomg. :) |
